Nursing 230 provides the learner with the opportunity to apply fundamental caring concepts to the woman and her family. Emphasis is on health promotion for the maturing woman along the continuums.

The major component of this course is the incorporation of family-centered caring concepts within levels of prevention. Caring processes for the pregnant woman and her neonate are applied to facilitate systems balance throughout the perinatal experience
